Translating Reuben Thomas's Applications

I welcome translations of all of my applications into other languages, and improvements to existing translations. Below are instructions for translating my applications. I would also be happy to receive further translations of these instructions.

English

To translate an application into another language

• Download and install the source distribution
• Create a new language folder in the Languages directory, whose name is the two letter code for the new language
• Translate the help file .hlp, the resource file UK.rss (where you should change UK to your language code) and the text file Readme.txt (which should be renamed as appropriate). The Readme.txt in the top level directory also needs translating.
• If these instructions don't already exist in your language, please translate them too.
• Send me the translations! (if you're a SIS expert, you could even send me an updated .pkg file).

If you want to be able to test your translation as you go, I recommend using RMRRCG (www.rmrsoft.com). The help for this application also contains a list of language codes; ask me if you can't find the code for your language.

Per tradurre un'applicazione in un'altra lingua seguite le seguenti istruzioni.

• Scaricate e installate la distribuzione originale.
• Create una nuova cartella della lingua nella cartella "Languages", il nome di questa nuova cartella dovr? essere un codice di due lettere riferite alla nuova lingua (per l'italiano il codice ? IT).
• Traducete il file della guida .hlp, il file risorsa UK.rss (cambiate il codice UK in quello della vostra lingua) e il file Readme.txt (che va rinominato in modo appropriato, Leggimi.txt per la lingua italiana). Va tradotto anche il file Readme.txt nella cartella principale.
• Se le presenti istruzioni non esistono nella lingua che intendete tradurre, mi fareste un favore traducendo pure queste, grazie.
• Infine, non dimenticate di mandarmi le traduzioni! (Se siete esperti del formato SIS, potreste addirittura mandarmi un file aggiornato nel formato applicazione.pkg)
